Elemental Watson II ($235)

Elemental Watson II.jpg
Elemental Watson II.jpg (589.94 KiB) Vist 17698 gange

Watson sets a new standard on the cost/performance ratio. Elemental Amps is proud to present the Elemental Watson II, a class-A valve/Mosfet hybrid headphone amplifier. A powerful and delicate sound accompanied by the warmth of valves delivered in a compact chassis

By trimming down on unnecessary luxuries and focusing on core performance, the Watson II is able to operate in a dual mono configuration, with a military grade NOS 6AK5 tubes being the centrepiece of each channel’s gain stage. Not only does this deliver rich harmonics typical of single ended class-A valve amps but also reduces warm-up time of the valves significantly whilst extending the life of each valve to operate at their peak performance for more than 1000 hours per channel.

Followed by class-A power MOSFET output stage, it provides almost limitless driving current while preserving the tube’s charming signature. The configuration also guarantees best channel separation (stereo image), easy maintenance and adjustment on the individual channel.

Compared to the original Elemental Watson, the new Watson II now has RCA line-in at the back, 3.5mm line-in at front, 30VDC power supply instedad of 26VDC, and no option to manually adjust pre-amp gain into the tubes.

Following the tradition of Elemental Amps , Sherlock is designed for a no-compromise performance at a very affordable price. During the design process, we took further steps to make Sherlock modular and expandable, from a stereo amp to a fully balanced amplifier. We are pleased that we succeeded in producing the Sherlock with unprecedented driving capability and musicality at a very cost-effective price point.

To arrive at our goal, we trimmed all unnecessary features and cosmetics. We then focused on Sherlock's core competence - the amplification. The kernel of Sherlock is a class-A tube gain stage that dominates the sound quality with the tubes unique signature. This is followed by a single-ended class-A MOSFET power stage to provide plenty of current for demanding headphones. Sherlock's uniqueness is the added bridged circuits ahead of the main amp. These circuits when activated, converts input signals into balanced (positive plus negative polarities) format and feeds to left and right channels. This special design feature turns a tandem pair of Sherlock into a truly stereo balanced amplifier.

Sherlock is the first bridgeable headphone amplifier and audiophiles can enjoy the single chassis first and subsequently upgrade to double chassis for balanced performance. The audiophile with their numerous
headphone collection will find the Sherlock a timeless investment.

Zigis Rock'n Glass ($240)

Zigis Rock'n Glass.jpg
Zigis Rock'n Glass.jpg (626.07 KiB) Vist 17698 gange

Class A headphone amplifier, Tube-MOSFET hybrid, zero feedback

The goal was to create high-quality class A headphone amplifier, which combine the best qualities of both tube and solid state technologies. The second goal was to place the amplifier in an attractive housing, keeping a reasonable price at the same time. This is how the Rock’n Glass headphone amplifier was born. The name Rock’n Glass represents the two worlds from which the amp originates – solid state (Rock) and tubes (Glass).

Features:
• 6N23P/6DJ8 Tube gain stage make for a warm, detailed sound, with good microdynamics and carefully reproduction of small details. IRF510 MOSFET based, class A output stage is powerful, capable of driving any 16 to 600 ohms impedance headphones, even “hard to drive” ones.
• After the amp’s DC power input socket there are two stage RC filter, second stage are separate for Left and Right canal (3 x RC total). This solution allows the amplifier to work flawlessly with simple inexpensive PS. There is totally black silence when no music. Canal separation is excellent.
• The amplifier operates in pure class A and has zero negative feedback.
• Amplifier have one pair RCA input and two outputs - 6.3mm headphone jack on front and RCA line output at back panel. Amp can be used as headphone amp and as preamp too.
• Amp’s housing is made from 3mm tick aluminum, powder coated black. Wooden side panels are oak, natural linseed oil coated and polished.
• Rock’n Glass amplifier is built using only the highest quality parts, for best possible sound and amplifier’s long life: Alps Blue Velvet volume pot, Rifa polypropylene input caps, Panasonic FM low ESR power and output caps, 1% metal film resistors.
• Amp is shipped with Russian 6N23P tube. This can be changed to any brand 6DJ8, 6922, E88CC, ECC88 tube. Attention – 6N1P tube can not be used in this amp!

Bellari HA540 MK2 ($200)

Bellari HA540 mk2.jpg
Bellari HA540 mk2.jpg (556.26 KiB) Vist 7724 gange

Pure Class A Stereo Headphone Amplifier

The new 2019 HA540 MK2 no headphone amp has impressed us more than the Bellari HA540. It is a lush sounding 12AX7 tube headphone amp running 150 regulated volts to the tube plates. With plenty of gain that is uniquely capable of driving headphones rated from 8-2000 Ohms. Having two separate inputs, it’s brilliantly designed to work equally well with different source components. It will produce superb clarity when connected directly to a CD player, computer, phone or DAC. A zero-feedback design guarantees a smooth natural analog response. It will be the thing that kicks your music up a notch, and gets you addicted to this hobby. There is a definite weight to the audio quality, in the sense that everything felt like it had some genuine power driving it.

In a world where headphone amps can cost anywhere from $99 to $1999 and some even $7000. It is hard to find honesty in what is a real true improvement in build quality or sound. How can you read through the online reviews to get a good idea of what to buy when it is clear that some reviews are paid for or that other reviews are not taking into account the full story, in personal experience or knowledge. What I can tell honestly, is that the HA540 is hand built in Salt Lake City, UT by people who have been in the industry for a few decades. We have seen it all, from companies selling the equivalent of snake oil and charging outrageously for it, to honest companies that have unfortunately fallen by the wayside.

The HA540 is an honest and true headphone amplifier. While it is not inexpensive by most standards it is truly an audio bargain for its build and sound quality. It has the lowest amount of ear fatigue of any headphone amp we have heard at any price

LTA microZOTL MZ2 ($1235-2160)

Linear Tube Audio MZ2.jpg
Linear Tube Audio MZ2.jpg (172.21 KiB) Vist 22206 gange

The successor to David Berning's original micro-ZOTL, the MZ2 continues to offer what Berning intended it to: an introduction to ZOTL technology.

Equally a headphone amplifier, integrated amplifier, and preamp, the MZ2 is considered reference-grade for powering almost any headphone, as a 1 wpc amp for extremely efficient speakers, and as a preamp performing well above its price.

Hand-built by our small team just outside of Washington, DC, each MZ2 involves 12 hours of delicate work, including precise hand-winding of several proprietary components, and several days of burn-in and testing.

While technically an OTL amplifier, not having traditional output transformers, the MZ2 is an entirely different kind of circuit that is able to achieve low output impedance and low-current tube operation, which translates to easy matching to almost any headphone or speaker and a very long tube life. ZOTL technology results in amps with the transparency of OTL without the many limitations of OTL designs: purely tube amplification that achieves a theoretically ideal turns ratio and happily interacts with speakers from 2 to 16 ohms, or above. Headphones from 16 to 600 ohms are powered without any hum.

A new feature of the MZ2 is an on-board jumper that allows the user to switch between using 6SN7 and 12SN7 tubes.

We also now offer premium DC cables for the connection between the amp and the power supply.

LTA microZOTL MZ3 ($3700)

LTA microZOTL MZ-3.jpg
LTA microZOTL MZ-3.jpg (685.55 KiB) Vist 7810 gange

The microZOTL MZ3 represents the evolution of the microZOTL technology as a headphone amplifier, a preamplifier, and a 1 watt speaker amplifier in the external power supply form factor of the MZ2.

Incorporating almost all of the technology enhancements recently released in our new microZOTL Preamplifier, the microZOTL MZ3 is the result of years of refining the microZOTL circuitry. This is the highest expression of the amp as a preamp, headphone amp, and 1 watt speaker amp. In a beautiful new, low-resonance aluminum chassis designed by Fern & Roby, the microZOTL MZ3 contains all of the elements that we found improved the sound significantly.

A digital interface features an LED array display for volume and input, a new remote-controlled stepped attenuator volume control, and improved input wiring that greatly shortens the signal path. The power supply is larger and more refined, with a premium interconnect cable, and no more turn on thumps. There are several integral component upgrades in the audio circuit for wider soundstage, lower noise floor, and improved musicality. We now use ceramic circuit boards for the amplifier, which result in the clearest, cleanest sounding microZOTL yet.

We curate premium tubes for you to ensure you experience the amplifiers’ maximum performance right out of the box.

LTA microZOTL Preamplifier ($4450)

microZOTL Preamplifier.jpg
microZOTL Preamplifier.jpg (90.58 KiB) Vist 14969 gange

After years of refining and testing the microZOTL circuit, LTA has created the microZOTL Preamplifier. This is the highest expression of the amp as both preamp and headphone amp. In a beautiful new, low-resonance chassis designed by Fern & Roby featuring Cardas connectors, the microZOTL preamp contains all of the elements that we found improved the sound significantly.

A digital interface gives control (via the remote or the brass capacitive buttons on the faceplate) over the new stepped attenuator volume control and improved input wiring that greatly shortens the signal path. The power supply is larger and more refined, and there are several integral component upgrades in the audio circuit. We now use ceramic circuit boards, which result in the clearest, cleanest sounding microZOTL yet.

Features
• Volume Control: Stepped attenuator constructed of 1025 steps of 50 ohms, with 100 positions selected to provide very fine resolution at the lowest volumes and a logarithmic control for higher volumes . Low noise, precision 1% Vishay Dale resistors and hermetically sealed silver contact relays are used for precise, isolated analog signal attenuation
• Balance Control: 100% channel isolation using stored differences of volume values. Maximum balance differential is 16 steps
• Power Supply: Linear supply user-switchable between 110/120 and 220/240 (100V linear supply available for Japan). LTA ZOTL Ultralinear Integrated Amplifier ($7650)

LTA UL Integrated.jpg
LTA UL Integrated.jpg (200.31 KiB) Vist 7809 gange

The ZOTL Ultralinear is the latest ZOTL amplifier design by David Berning, utilizing his Zero-hysteresis output transformerless audio design and his unique power supply.

The  ZOTL Ultralinear amplifier outputs 20 watts per channel using 17JN6 tubes, a Compactron-style TV sweep tube that can't be easily used in traditional transformer-coupled amplifier designs. The ZOTL circuit is able to take advantage of these great-sounding, under-utilized tubes, and in this case, does so in what can be considered the only ultralinear amp without traditional output transformers.

David designed the amplifier specifically for high efficiency speakers. A balance between triode and pentode mode, the ultralinear topology delivers a less forward presentation which is "more pleasing to listen to.”  The ZOTL Ultralinear delivers accuracy, detail and realism.  Pianos sound like pianos. The bass is controlled but fluid. Very transparent, no hum and very dynamic.

The power supply is an advanced switching supply optimized for audio that only David Berning deploys.

All the benefits of ZOTL technology, including 3 times the tube life, 1/3 the heat, a super wide frequency response of 8hz -60Khz, and a under 2 ohm output impedance to play nicely with all speakers, are all included. There is also a sophisticated speaker protection system to prevent damage to the amplifier and speakers if there ever was a tube issue.

Fern and Roby Audio designed the casework featuring front and rear panels milled from slabs of aluminum, Cardas RCAs, WBT copper binding posts, with all markings laser engraved.

David Berning ZOTL Pre One ($12360)

David Berning ZOTL Pre One.jpg
David Berning ZOTL Pre One.jpg (177.4 KiB) Vist 22236 gange

The ZOTL PRE ONE is a stereo vacuum-tube single-chassis preamplifier that uses the output transformerless ZOTL technology.

The ZOTL PRE ONE provides for five input sources plus one processing loop source. On units equipped with the optional RIAA phono stage, input number 1 is used as the phono input and there are four high-level inputs. Two main output jacks and one 1/4 inch headphone jack are provided. Except for the headphone jack, all audio connections are via single-ended RCA jacks. The ZOTL PRE ONE can be powered universally (100 V - 240 V) from the AC mains or from an external 12 V source.

As to the controls in the preamplifier, volume adjustment is via a 24-step switch that uses precision resistors. There are also separate eight-position step attenuator switches for each channel to allow balance adjustment. Source selection is made by a rotary switch or processing loop toggle. Other switches include mono, phase invert, and mute.

A very unusual feature of the ZOTL PRE ONE is the incorporation of the patented Berning ZOTL technology into a preamplifier. The ZOTL technology has previously only been applied to power amplifiers to provide a properly impedance-matched tube output stage to the loudspeaker without using an output transformer. In the ZOTL PRE ONE, the ZOTL is used to provide an unusually robust output drive for a tube preamplifier that effectively overcomes interconnect cable parasitics. The output impedance is a very low 50 ohms without using feedback, and with a peak current drive of over 100 mA. This enables the ZOTL PRE ONE to be able to drive headphones. A headphone jack is provided on the back of the preamplifier for such use.

The high-level stage uses a balanced differential amplifier input section and a constant-current-loaded, single-ended ZOTL output second section. There are no coupling capacitors in the high-level stage, and dc offset cancellation at the output is done with a power supply servo that provides just the right voltage for the input section to precisely balance the output section. Hence the ZOTL PRE ONE is auto-biasing so that tubes can be changed without the need for manual biasing. The single-ended topology combined with a zero-feedback design yields distortion characteristics that are dominated by 2nd order harmonics and are considered to be more musical than other forms of distortion. The audio circuit board in the ZOTL PRE ONE is a special low-loss ceramic material and provides for this preamplifier having a more transparent sound with additional presence.

The ZOTL PRE ONE is equipped with Stillpoints TM OEM Universal Resonance Dampers. A unique wrap-around shield prevents undesirable signal bleeding from the controls or from the input/output jacks to the audio circuit board. Routine tube replacement on the ZOTL PRE ONE should not be needed with normal usage, and 10,000-hour lifetime should be expected.

Optional Phono Stage and Optional Moving Coil Step-Up Transformer.

NOTE: SP20 has been discontiued, but is still scarcely available, so the post will remain for now.

Audio Research SP20 Stereo Preamplifier (€9900)

Audio Research SP20.jpg
Audio Research SP20.jpg (185.65 KiB) Vist 22494 gange

Influenced by some of our classic groundbreaking SP preamplifiers, the SP20 takes visual cues from past Audio Research products while incorporating our latest designs and technologies. The SP20 is a full-function line stage which incorporates a phono preamplifier and, for the first time ever on an Audio Research preamp, there is a ¼" headphone jack. Front panel controls have been minimized to two rotary controls and an interactive touch screen display, along with power, mute and output selector buttons.

The interactive touchscreen has been designed to take full advantage of the feature set the SP20 offers, and operation is intuitive and easy-to-use. Numerous adjustments allows customization to the performance and display of the SP20 for seamless system integration, including input naming and gain offsets, volume presets, and tube hours. System checks have been put into place to alert when tubes have exceeded standard serviceable hours (4,000), and a low line auto mute function engages in the event of a power brown-out.

The SP20 is fully balanced, pure Class-A with zero feedback. There are seven levels of voltage regulation, a large power supply, and a very low-noise R-core power transformer. Both the line and phono stages feature low-noise JFET inputs and 6H30 (2 per section) outputs. The latest high performance coupling and bypass capacitors are used in both stages. Both the line stage and phono preamplifier offer extraordinary frequency response and low noise. The phono section provides 58dB of gain, so the SP20 can be used with a wide variety of phono cartridges, including moderately low output moving coils.

The headphone output is no mere afterthought; it is a low-distortion, high-performance vacuum-tube headphone amplifier designed to comfortably drive a wide impedance range of headphones. The button next to the headphone jack switches off the main (amplifier) outputs for headphone listening, or it switches off the headphone jack for speaker listening.

All of these developments would be for naught if the SP20 did not delight sonically, which it does with ease. The presentation is so relaxed and natural, transparent and solid with great dynamics and impact. Never threadbare, sonic images have texture and a luminous 3-D quality. The SP20 delivers musically, with an ability to effortlessly drive your tube or solid-state amplifier.

OMA Parallax PL519 ($11000)

OMA Parallax PL519.jpg
OMA Parallax PL519.jpg (723.26 KiB) Vist 12837 gange

You could say there are two lines of sight in audio amplification. One route combines high power amplifiers with low efficiency loudspeakers. Our way is different. We created Parallax PL519 as a low power single ended amp to be used with high efficiency loudspeakers. The result is a truly startling level of naturalness, detail, and ease, something not found in audio equipment today.

Parallax is unique in using a little known and very special tube, not technically a triode at all. This tube, the PL519, was a European television sweep tube, built with extreme ruggedness and durability for long term operation. It was never intended to be used as an audio tube. By reconnecting the internal elements of the PL519 in an operation we call Screen Mode, OMA has effectively created a whole new triode tube.

The Parallax is constructed with OMA's typical attention to materials, workmanship, and design ethos. The two chassis are constructed from solid Pennsylvania walnut by hand, as the joinery shows, and finished with a hand rubbed oil and wax finish. The amp itself is built on heavy sheets of steel which are powder coated, and then covered with a slate top plate, which is also an excellent resonance damping device. Unlike many manufacturers who produce a two chassis "monobloc" configuration, the power supply of Parallax is built on one chassis, and the signal is built onto the other. The robust, isolated power supply ensures that the output power of the Parallax exceeds what one expects of an amplifier rated at less than 5 watts.

Dimensions W 19" x D 14" x H 8"

February 2018: New version of our dual chassis Parallax amplifier, You can now use your headphones with it!

CONCEPT

At the heart of each Riviera product lies years of research: from the study of non-conventional circuits to specialized manufacturing.

At the root of every new project lies a wealth of research regarding the selection of the highest quality materials to ensure maximum reliability and quality, the production strictly controlled at every phase to guarantee that every component in a Riviera unit is used to its fullest potential to ensure a final product that is second to none in today’s market.

It’s an open secret to every serious audio designer that relying on traditional measurements does not necessarily guarantee audio nirvana; that is why Riviera places such importance in listening to its amplifiers.

In fact, Riviera restarts from the basics and takes great pride in having studied the literature of electroacoustic written in the last hundred years. It was necessary to redefine the electrical characteristics of an audio amplifier. Riviera’s benchmark remains the live listening experience: Riviera’s philosophy is that a Hi-Fi system must be able to reproduce a sound event which is the closest possible to what a listener would hear in a live context.

To achieve these goals Riviera has made specific choices regarding circuitry and applied technologies:

• Zero Overall Feedback
• “Class A” amplification at every stage
• Hybrid circuitry, with valves (triodes) for signal processing and solid state (BJT and Mosfets) for the power stage
• Electrical values chosen by listening

Riviera is the true expression of the ‘Made in Italy’ brand: where innovation and design are matched to an unparalleled level of excellence.

FEATURES

We use the absolutely best available ECC82 today that is in conformity with Rohs and CE regulations. But if you want to really push performance, feel free to use compatible new-old stock. We cannot really officially say that customers are better off substituting our tube, but it's a fact that an NOS Mullard, RT, Philips Miniwatt or RCA black-plate clear top are better than anything produced and legally sellable today.

The PSU was carefully designed not just for raw power but sound. It's about 200VA; sufficient for a 10wpc amp we think. Five power supplies use two transformers, one for pure audio circuits, the other for control and operational services. The tube branch is pi-filtered and stabilized. The power branch uses another pi filter and a 'distributed capacitance' technique. Instead of two big slow capacitors, we prefer many small fast caps, with the last one extremely close to each power transistor. And there are no protection circuits, only fuses on the power rails. Key for the signal path is no global feedback anywhere and just minimal local. The single-ended ECC82 voltage amplifier uses none whatsoever and that stage wholly determines the amp's sonic character. The complementary outputs mix BJT and Mosfet and require no phase splitter or transformer. The motorized Alps sits at the very input before the first stage.

About our manufacture, all mechanical parts are sourced from suppliers who specialize in aerospace and optical mechanics. They operate in the aerospace sector of Naples, one of Italy's most important. They are used to producing short runs with very high quality control. We design all of our PCB with 2mm rather than standard 1.6mm thickness. They are two-sided and with thrice the usual thickness of copper traces and gold plating. Our solder masks are transparent and the boards are populated manually. Many of our parts are extreme-quality industrial types selected for their sound quality because certain audiophile parts are often not that reliable. And the transformers too are our proprietary design and hand-made in Italy.

Finally a few hard specs. Sensitivity is 400mV relative to 10W/8Ω. Input impedance is 50kΩ. Bandwidth at 1 and 10 watts is 11Hz-55kHz -1dB. At -3dB, it's 7Hz-105kHz. Residual noise is 95µV A-weighted. SN/R is 99.7dB A-weighted. Power consumption is 110VA.

I understand that Google translate is a challenge, so you have done nothing wrong, just a shame with the wrong products in this nice thread..

Brinkmann Nyquist Mk II (€14980)

Brinkmann Nyquist Mk II.jpg
Brinkmann Nyquist Mk II.jpg (621.24 KiB) Vist 7614 gange

At Munich High End 2016, Brinkmann unveiled Nyquist: the most advanced Streaming Digital-to-Analog Converter ever created. At that time, we explained that our unique, user-replaceable DAC Module would allow easy upgradeability and eliminate obsolescence, making it audio’s first-and only“Investment Quality” digital component. The release of our first Nyquist upgrade fulfills our promise and proves that our “Field-upgradeable” concept works in practice as well as theory. An entirely new design, “Nyquist” was optimized to accommodate the latest digital formats including MQA™ (Master Quality Authenticated) streaming and playback, PCM up to 384 kHz/32 bits (including DXD),as well as DSD64, DSD128 and DSD256. Both the Hardware and Software of Nyquist’s Digital Module are easily user-replaceable, an architecture that assures unprecedented longevity and enables Nyquist to remain on the cutting edge of digital technology. As promised, Nyquist virtually eliminates obsolescence.

Proprietary high voltage power supply technology—unique among digital source components—delivers marked improvements in digital circuit performance. In Nyquist Mk II, this high-voltage power supply technology has been implemented more widely. As opposed to only one power regulator in the original Nyquist, 6 of the 12 Mk II regulators benefit from this technology. The Mk II digital module includes a completely updated power supply section, incorporating 12 power regulators compared to the 11 found in our first-generation product. The additional power regulator achieves an even better decoupling of the DAC clock from the rest of the circuit yielding lower jitter, especially with USB and Ethernet playback.

The result? Even higher resolution with no loss of the extraordinary musicality that made the original Nyquist so successful. Another breakthrough by the newly expanded Brinkmann Design Team, custom filters in the digital domain further elevate both measured performance and musical realism. In a nod to Brinkmann’s renowned Marconi Line Preamplifier and Edison Phono Preamplifier, Nyquist employs hybrid circuit topology, with NOS Telefunken tubes used in the output stage; in fact, development of Nyquist highlighted areas in which Marconi and Edison’s circuitry could be improved and has led to “Mk II” versions of those legendary products.

Because today’s music connoisseurs demand uncompromising convenience and versatility, Nyquist offers outstanding connectivity, including USB, SPDIF, Optical and Ethernet inputs. Balanced, Single-ended and discrete Headphone outputs are all standard. Nyquist offers Roon™ network playback and music management and supports many streaming services. Optimized, pre-selected filters have been carefully tailored for every digital format. A comprehensive remote handset offers control of headphone volume, input selection, mute and phase/invert. Thanks to our obsessive attention to each of these details, Nyquist achieves a level of user-friendliness unprecedented in High End Audio. Given its ease of use, matchless craftsmanship, total upgradeability and, of course, sonic superiority, Nyquist is simply the finest digital component available today…and tomorrow!

SET High Performance Integrade Amplifier

The Genus integrated is 25W in Class A1 and can peak to 40W in transients in Class A2 yet only has two gain stages. It takes key design ideas from our Concero 25 monoblock circuit. It is effectively a small stereo SET amplifier driving a bigger stereo SET in one chassis.

The input / driver stage is a small 0.7W SE amplifier built around the Siemens E280F super triode and is loaded with a double c-core bifilar wound interstage transformer. This single tube stage offers maximum linearity and bandwidth for maximum transparency. No coupling capacitors are present anywhere in the circuit.

This single tube stage offers maximum linearity and bandwidth for maximum transparency. No coupling capacitors are present anywhere in the circuit.

The small SE amplifier uses our proprietary AC link coupling technology. This technology uses the secondary winding of the first SE amplifier to modulate the biasing circuits of the bigger 813 tube output stage. AC link coupling technology is used in all of our bigger amplifier models.

The four tubes have independent power supply units (PSUs) which are fed from a large 800VA toroid transformer. The PSUs carry their own choke filtered capacitor bank.

The output stage power supply units again use our super capacitor technology. These top specification film capacitors have one to two orders of magnitude lower ESR and ESL than any electrolytic or film capacitor used in audio today, and have a maximum current surge specification exceeding 1000 amps.

The two 813 directly heated triode (DHT) tubes use triple passively filtered filament PSUs. DHT tubes are extremely sensitive to noise present in their filament circuits. Our passively filtered system is fault proof and provides an extremely low noise floor with very high bandwidth and, as part our design philosophy, is without feedback.

Bias of both the driver and output tubes can be adjusted on the fly using the built-in bias meter, so you can tailor the sound to your taste.

A self resetting soft start is used to slowly build up the high voltages present and protect the tubes from any current surges at start up.

Volume and input selection is controlled with the amplifier's built in relay system and supplied remote control. We find this far exceeds the sound quality obtained by conventional potentiometers.

Inputs: 4 RCA pairs, 1 XLR pair (balanced). Outputs: Speaker and headphone out. Speaker output impedance is pre-configured on order from 1-16 ohms and comes with a two-position output impedance selector as standard. The headphone out is user switchable to high or low output impedance for maximum compatibility.
