It is not just a hum, it is a roar, it is very loud, it feels like it sucks in my ear, really loud..
A bit like the sound you get when putting a finger to an RCA inlet.

The problem was bad solder joints all over and two loose ground connections. I do not think it has been tested in usa, now there is only the sound of silence, and music when playing.

as long as it plays well from now on nothing is lost... well not much.
Hope you can enjoy it for a long time to come.

I have learned a little bit about tube amp, the one who soldered amplifier could tell me that it is a waste of money to spend more 100dkr of resistors, he said that it is not possible for people like me with my age (53) and impaired hearing to tell the difference between expensive and cheap resistors .. I'm not afraid to buy American electronics, I'm saving up for a McIntosh CD player, but it will probably be bought in Denmark.
I enjoy WA6 now and will do so for years to come.

The problem with the hum is gone so end of the story ......
