musik16 Det kan være Mjølner - The Hammer kan få HE-6 til at synge, det lyder som den har været inde i design overvejelserne.

Mjolnir headphone amp and Gungnir DAC [$749/ea.] Both offer true 'end-game' performance at a midrange price and both are true 'one and only' products with significant technical advances. Mjolnir is the world's only dedicated circlotron-style headphone amp. Gungnir offers the most advanced clock regeneration system available in any DAC." The Mjolnir uses 18dB JFET-based voltage gain on 90V rails into a cross-shunt push/pull output stage with only N-channel Mosfets plus DC-coupled i/o ports for "8 times the output power and 8 times lower distortion than our Asgard". Output power is 8W RMS into 32 ohms, 5W RMS into 50. Frequency response is a wide 2Hz to 400kHz -3dB. Despite butch power to serve low-impedance planar headphones, the very low noise is said to make the amp equally suitable for all standard headphones. Due to the circlotronic output stage, connections are balanced exclusively. Outputs are on single 4-pin XLR and dual 3-pin XLRs.

The Gungnir [add $100 for async 24/192 USB] runs two AKM 4399 DACs in balanced mode, fully discrete JFET outputs and Adapticlockâ„¢ clock regeneration via auto-switching VCXO and VCO oscillators. The Gungnir has XLR and RCA outputs.
