Ah, PT. I wouldn't say I'm a fan but I do like some of their progressive rock stuffs after being introduced by a muzak maniac friend some years back. Some latest news on them highlighted by that friend!

Porcupine Tree drummer Gavin Harrison has been fired from the band with immediate effect. Steven Wilson, the creative influence behind the band cited irreconcilable artistic and musical differences and confirmed that Gavin would be replaced by ex-White Stripes drummer Meg White. Wilson said that Meg White's virtuoso talent was easily a match for Harrison and she would have no problem with a 15/8 time sig or whatever that Gavin bloke used to go on about. Harrison has responded to the sacking by claiming Wilson has 'girly-hair' and that his tee-shirts are too small. He was last seen buying several boxes of thumb-tacks but claimed this was unrelated to the fact that Wilson always plays barefoot.

Yup, this is the new drummer for PT officially ...............

Sorry to say Chong, but that is an april fool joke. NO WAY she could replace him - no offence. But Gavin is one of the worlds best drummer IMO. And I doubt that Steven Wilson would fire Gavin
