Want to play in the tube pool without going full boat crazy? Well, have we got an amp for you! Welcome to Vali 2+, the most affordable and versatile tube hybrid amp on the planet.Â
Â
Vali 2+ delivers plenty of power for hard-to-drive headphones—and also provides the low noise you need for sensitive cans. Plus, it covers all your needs with preamp outputs for your powered monitors or speaker power amp…and it stacks perfectly with our Modi DACs or Loki Mini equalizer to create a complete desktop system.
Â
Vali 2 uses a unique, class-leading power supply that gives us 60V on the plate. Combined with our unique Coherence™ topology—the only fully discrete, current-mode noninverting hybrid topology in any amp near this price—Vali 2+ redefines what you can expect from an affordable tube amp.Â
Vali 2+ was designed with a single tube, so you can easily swap out the supplied 6BZ7 tube for a wide variety of interesting options, including ECC88, 6922, 6N1P, and even 6CG7! Stick to the great stock sound, or find the perfect tube for you!Â
Â
If you want measurements, we got measurements—Magni Heresy’s got you covered. But if you’re ready to have some fun with something completely different, Vali 2+ is for you. Enjoy tube sound without tons of noise, play with different tubes without having to get a second mortgage for a matched quad, and see what this whole tube thing is all about!Â

Go ahead. Do things with Valhalla 2 that you’d never attempt with other OTL tube amps. Run low-impedance headphones. Use IEMs. Valhalla 2 is a complete re-imagining of Valhalla, with improved performance, higher output capability, lower distortion and output impedance.Â
While most tube OTL amps are really only designed for 300 ohm Senns and 600 ohm Beyers, Valhalla 2 stretches to include headphones that you’d never expect to use with a tube amp. Many people use Valhalla 2 with sensitive, lower-impedance headphones as well.
Valhalla 2 also adds two important features: preamp outs and a gain switch. Preamp outs let you connect your powered monitors directly to Valhalla 2, to give them some of what some people call “tube magic.” The gain switch gives you better control of both output level and impedance, for better matching to your headphones. It's easy to build a complete desktop system around the Valhalla.
If you’re expecting syrupy, tubby, euphonically colored tube sound, you’re in for a shock. Valhalla 2 is exceptionally accurate, neutral, and resolving, without being strident or etched. Specifications

Hybrid Modular Headamp/DAC/Phone Preamp
To improve on Lyr 2, we had to completely reinvent the amp, introduce two new technologies, and make it modular. Yes, that’s right. Not only is the new Lyr 3 a big sonic upgrade, it can be configured with the DAC or phono preamp of your choice—just like Jotunheim.
Want to run IEMs? Sure. Need power for your HE-6? Sure. If this means nothing to you, just be confident that you can plug any headphone into Lyr 3 and get great sound. With full power delivered from the standard ¼” jack, you don’t need balanced headphones to take full advantage of Lyr 3.
Select from the internal card or rear-panel analog input, and pick high or low gain with convenient front switches. Connect the preamp output to your powered monitors for a complete desktop system—or use it as a front end to your speaker power amplifier. Lyr 3 provides all the flexibility you need.
Now, you can enjoy a serious tube amp—that only requires a single tube. Our Coherence™ hybrid topology makes the most out of the supplied NOS 6N8S tube, and also works with all NOS and new-production 6SN7 tube types. What’s more, Lyr 3 introduces Continuity™—a constant transconductance output stage which provides superior performance.
Select from two different DAC modules, a phono input module, or no module at all to tailor Lyr 3 exactly to your needs. Modular design means Lyr 3 won’t be dumpster-fodder when technology changes—just swap a card!
- Multibit DAC Module. Choose the optional Multibit DAC Module to get Schiit’s unique digital filter and true multibit DAC architecture, as used in Modi Multibit and Bifrost Multibit, for $200.
